I'm not very good at writing these journals, usually 6 months can go by before I remember to update! But here we are in July 2011 I'm going through a phase of painting with my graphics tablet, experimenting with new styles. Hopefully i'll get my paintbrushes out again soon before I forget how to paint.

I had a strange experience the other month of finding one of my paintings on a video on YouTube. It was a suprise when I clicked on the video and found my artwork staring back at me... Glad someone likes it though

Not long now until I go travelling, which I'm very excited about. It'll be nice to get out of work for 3 months too, it'll be the longest break i've ever had from studying/working.

Hope everyone had a nice Christmas, can't believe it's nearly 2011! Hopefully i'll find more time to paint this year, there are so many pictures in my head that I want to complete. Quite excited for some travelling this year also

So I thought after 5 years I should probably bite the bullet and take out premium membership. I'm trying to engage myself a bit more and learn some new techniques, and since I spend so much time here I figured I should give back by supporting the site!

Currently bummed out by the amount of snow outside, it's slowly turning the pavements into ice rinks... So maybe i'll get some more paintings done in the evenings. Enjoying my new graphics tablet, although it takes some getting used to. The different brushes in PS are causing some confusion!
